Engineering Wonders: Moai stone statues on Easter Island

The islanders call Moai, but otherwise little is known about these massive carved heads that the outer slopes of Easter Island, known rim. The moai with their backs to the sea and are, as the ancestors of today's inhabitants of Rapa Nui. It is estimated that these heads back to 1000 BC date.
